Superior Seminoles!!!

Congratulations to the Nolettes and the Marching Noles for straight superiors at District Festival this year!  We have proved that a small band can make a big noise, and that the Nolettes know how to entertain an audience.  Thanks to Coach Katie for the beautiful costumes and choreography.

Next stop, basketball season and competitions…more news to come.

Remember to support the band boosters (SIMBA) at their annual yard sale on November 6.

Practice Schedule

Remember to check the practice schedule for extra practices and special events.  Every Saturday in October will be used for practices and competitions with the band.  DO NOT SCHEDULE ANYTHING ELSE FOR SATURDAYS IN OCTOBER. Every event is MANDATORY.

The half-time show looks great so far!  Let’s keep up the good work and make our school proud!

Football Season is underway!

Our Southeast Seminoles are off to a great start with a 20-3 win against county rivals, Palmetto.  The Nolettes are in the stands to support our team every game, and on the field to wow the crowds at halftime.

Come out to a game and support our Noles and Nolettes!

Band Season

Band Camp officially ended today, and the Nolettes are ready to get this football season started!  The band will be performing selections from Phantom of the Opera this year, and the Nolettes have some beautiful choreography to perform.

The Nolettes will also have a Spirit Store at the home football games.  Please visit our booth next to the band concession stand on the visitor’s side of the field.  We will have t-shirts and other spirit items for sale throughout the season.

Check back for updates throughout the season.

UDA Summer Dance Camp

Our Nolettes had another successful summer.  Our sophomores attended UDA Officer Camp at Rollins College, and learned all about leading a dance team.  As a group, the sophomores earned a Superior Trophy and many superior ribbons for Drill Downs.  Michelle also won All-American!  Go Michelle!

Two weeks later, the team went to USF-Tampa for UDA team camp.  Their performance at camp was nothing less than spectacular!  The team won a Superior Trophy, a Spirit Stick, 10 Superior Drill Down Ribbons, and the Leadership Award (which is selected by all the teams at camp).  Shelby and Haley won All-American!  Our own Coach KT was also awarded the Outstanding Coach Award, voted on by the other coaches.  We are so proud of everyone!

Our tradition of excellence and improvement continues!  Go Nolettes!

Homework for Everyone!

Hi Nolettes!

I know you all thought it was summer vacation, but you still have work to do.  I want everyone to check out the short video on the UDA-Varsity website home page:

http://uda.varsity.com/default.aspx

It is all about camp.  Since none of you have attended dance team camp before, I know you have some questions or you may not even be sure what to wonder about!  So, hopefully the video will give you an idea of what camp is like.

Remember: Check your email frequently for updates, and keep checking the website for updates and to view our jam-packed calendar.

Keep stretching and dancing everyday! ~Mrs. Cox
